Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.
1 Thessalonians 5:12-15
In the world of home care, the way that we live our lives, go about our work, and operate within the framework of our company is deeply rooted in community. From the very beginning, when EPAGA was only the makings of a dream, and much less a full-fledged, fulfilled reality, our mission was always people-oriented, laser focused on caring for those in need. Today, though we continue to expand and grow, our mission remains the same: to provide care and bring joy to the people within our sphere of influence. This communal sense of living and working alongside one another, both in the office and out in the field not only informs and influences our personal lives and families, but the personal well-being and security of our clients’ families as well. Thus, every aspect of EPAGA is holistically concerned with catering to human needs: increasing quality of life for our clients, equipping our care providers with high caliber training and resources, and faithfully carrying out our mission into the world around us.
A primary way that we do this is by hiring excellent care providers; individuals who are not only professionals in their fields, but people we trust wholeheartedly. We’ve seen their kindness, capabilities, and compassion firsthand, and not only would we trust them with our own loved ones, we want our clientele to feel the same level of confidence and trustworthiness that we do. Another vital ingredient to the success of EPAGA is through our connection and relationship with our clients and the local communities in which we serve. It is our greatest joy to hear the countless stories and testimonies of how our company has assisted in cultivating a greater quality of life and sense of security for families who have utilized our services. Without the trust and support from our client base, EPAGA would have remained merely the makings of a dream, and would have never had the chance to blossom into the successful company that it is today.
Community is of the utmost importance to the heart of God, and even the Trinity itself is representative of community; made up of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In reality, there are days when the work we do can prove to be difficult and trying. We have excellent and savvy staff, yet this life was never promised to be easy, and even we are not immune to every hardship and trial we’re inevitably faced with along the way. That’s why we lean into our faith and upon one another when the going gets tough. We’ve seen the faithfulness of God throughout the years at EPAGA, and as members of this community, we’re here to remind each other of His steadfast love and commitment to us when we happen to forget, especially in difficult seasons.
The success and thrivation of our company depends solely on the collective nature of our community: our clientele and their families, along with our administrators and care providers. Together, our dreams for EPAGA Home Care have been realized, and we’re only just at the beginning of what has been an incredible journey thus far, fueled by a worthy and significant mission. It is our great privilege to model the beauty of community as expressed in the verse above; to acknowledge one another, live in peace with one another, help each other, show one another patience and encourage each other, that we may strive to do what is good in any situation we are faced with.
